Gentlemen Rogues
Austin, Texas quartet Gentlemen Rogues celebrate aggressive guitar pop anthems — bearing the influences of The Replacements, Superdrag, Superchunk, and similar visionaries — and have been gaining momentum and increased attention. Since their debut in 2011, the band — Danny Dunlap (guitar/vocals), Josh Power (drums), John Christoffel (guitar), and Dave Hawkins (bass, vocals) — have honed their hooks over numerous singles, EPs, and the 2024 full-length, Surface Noise.
Gentlemen Rogues have recently played support for Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Superchunk, as well as sole support on Bob Mould's Texas dates, for his Distortion and Blue Hearts tour.
Gentlemen Rogues have also supported bands such as The Lemonheads, The Dandy Warhols, Ultimate Fakebook, Smoking Popes, Kate Clover, and Riverboat Gamblers.
One of Gentlemen Rogues singles, "Do The Resurrection!" was handpicked by Stevie Van Zandt as "The Coolest Song In The World" on his SiriusXM channel and terrestrial radio show Little Steven's Underground Garage, and garnered heavy airplay for several months. "Do The Resurrection!" was also listener-voted as "The 6th Coolest Song of 2021.
