Hunter Walkup is a well-respected singer and guitarist from Austin. From the age of sixteen, he has been playing professionally, beginning his career in Maine, performing numerous blues and country shows. After a few years, he returned to Austin to front his own funky blues-rock group. For the first year, he worked on a farm and made connections at local jams until he built up enough credibility to become a full-time musician. Although only twenty-two, Hunter has played close to one thousand shows in Austin. He is well-known around town, performing and collaborating with Goldie Pipes and playing at historic venues such as C-Boy's Heart and Soul, Antone's Nightclub, The Skylark Lounge, and Friends Bar. Coming soon for the first time at Dan Electro’s, he will play his favorite rockin’-guitar-heavy covers and a few new originals. His tight and dynamic rhythm section will include Sam Blues on bass and Laine Leach on drums.
